Meet us in the Gold Room for a night of music, cocktails, celebration, and a little play after all the hard work. Stop by for support with legal name change and ID updates, HIV prevention and treatment referrals, healthcare navigation, and other resources. We also welcome attendees to be part of our Community Loom. Folk can add a thread representing their experiences, and participants are encouraged to bring end-of-life textiles to repurpose! 🗓️

Community care requires accountability, transparency, and compassion, especially when conversations are difficult. We believe that ethical, affirming care includes protecting confidentiality, maintaining respectful boundaries, and continuing to learn and grow as an organization.

Today we are sharing our Commitment to Community Accountability, Care and Repair, along with information about our updated feedback and grievance process. These practices are intended to strengthen trust, create clearer pathways for concerns to be heard, and support healthier engagement across our community spaces.

We know community-centered work is deeply human work. We will not always get everything perfect, but we remain committed to listening, reflecting, responding, and improving with integrity and care.

Thank you to everyone who continues to engage with us in good faith and helps us build stronger, safer, and more connected communities together.

We’ll have fun crafting messages from our Trans community here in South Florida to Trans communities across the state, sharing words of encouragement, joy and connection to send along with the TransSOCIAL team as they travel to bring resources to other cities in Florida. 🫂🏳️‍⚧️

Come write a postcard, share a story, or leave a few words you wish someone had told you! We’ll also be hosting a Period Packing Party with our friends at SoFlo Period Pantry, making sure we take good care of our community with needed hygiene items 💖

Today is March 31, Trans Day of Visibility! 🏳️‍⚧️✨ TDOV was started as a day to celebrate and center trans lives and contributions. It was also created to make space for trans people to be recognized beyond narratives of violence and loss.

Though TDOV is about visibility, it’s not that simple. This is a time to celebrate trans accomplishments and victories, while also acknowledging the discrimination and barriers many still face. It’s urgent to keep this in mind when so many trans people are being discussed politically while still being denied safety in everyday life 🩵🩷🤍

If you’re a trans person looking for support, or someone trying to find resources for a trans loved one in your life, reach out TransSOCIAL for help! We’re here to connect folk to legal name change assistance, affirming referrals, community support, and other vital resources! 💌🫂

The holidays are around the corner, and TransSOCIA

The holidays are around the corner, and TransSOCIAL will be taking some much-needed time to recharge so we can continue showing up strong for our community in the new year! ⛄️🎁

Our office will be closed from December 15th to January 4th and will reopen on January 5th. ❄️

If you’re currently receiving case management services (like name change assistance), a team member will still be checking email for any urgent needs. New service requests will be answered when we return.

If you’re in need of services or resources, make sure to reach out before offices close! Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and affirming holiday season 💙🏳️‍⚧️

Today, Nov 20, is Trans Day of Remembrance, and it coincides with Give Miami Day, bringing attention both to the lives we’ve lost, and to the ongoing need for accessible and affirming support for Trans people in our community. 🏳️‍⚧️🫂💗

At TransSOCIAL, we provide essential services that many trans folk rely on: legal name change assistance, healthcare navigation, identity document updates, resource access, and other community programs. These services are life-saving for the Trans community here in Florida. And much of our work is powered by individual donations! We don’t have large funding behind us, so it’s community, allies, and people like you who make these programs possible. Every contribution helps keep these resources available and helps us respond when someone reaches out for support. 💗💙🤍
